My Creative Scrapbook - Creative Kit

Well, it was revealed May 5...the greatly anticipated Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook and again, they did not disappoint!!! Here is a shot of the awesome, jam-packed kit featuring Fancy Pants Delight papers, Prima flowers, , Creative Cafe (three sheets of 12x12 chipboard!!!), American Crafts Thickers and so much more!! This kit is already sold out so if you don't want to miss out on the fun next month, then check out the subscription options. You should take a moment to check out the MCS DT gallery and have a peek at what the design team created with this kit!

Here's what I made with this kit:

Delight in life: I was looking for some fun, summery photos from last year when I came across the ones for this layout. I didn't think they were anything special at the time but when I looked twice at them I really liked them. I really like how they show Larissa's sheer joy at playing with this huge ball (which blew away shortly afterwards in the typical and ever present PEI wind). I just LOVED working with these bright and happy colours....not to mention, the awesome chipboard that was also included in this kit (all MCS's May kits actually!!) The chipboard is already white so it's all ready to go...well as soon as I put the glitter on it!

Ferry Ride: These photos are from our ferry ride last summer. On PEI, ferries used to be a way of life, at least if you wanted to leave or come to the Island. In 1997 the majority of the ferries shut down and the Confederation Bridge opened. The bridge was a huge engineering feat that has made life much easier for Islanders traveling about. We still have one ferry service at the eastern end of the Island so we try and support it and enjoy a ride at least once each summer. I wanted Larissa to have memories of the ferries since their future on PEI is often in question. I loved the little bird that came on the sheet of Fancy Pants delight rubons and thought he looked like a seagull... I think that's what got me started on the whole idea of this layout ;)

Here are a few cards that I made with some of the leftovers. Honestly, I could still make several pages with what I have left from each of the MCS kits each month...they are just that awesome!!! (you can click on the photo of the cards if you want a larger view)
