Hey Scrappers!!! I am sorry that I have been remiss in my blogging duties lately. Things have been hectic during May so far. Last week was crazy with a wedding and a funeral plus I made/decorated 3 wedding cakes in the same week. Now, Rissy & I are staying with a friend down east from Sunday through Fridays to help out a her work. We are doing this for a couple of weeks so I am wee bit behind on things. This weekend I will be sure to set up a bunch of posts that will be scheduled for next week to keep things updated ;)
(I should have posted this a month ago!!! eeek!) Do you remember me posting about the Just Cre8 - Cre8tive Idol contest? Here were my entries for it. The top ten contestants from that contest were awarded a spot as a Guest Designer for Just Cre8 and May was my month. Here is what a created from the May Scrap Pack that they sent to me. It was great fun to work with Jillibean Soup and WR Memory Keepers. I must say: forgive me for the butterfly overload...there was a Jillibean Soup pattern paper that was covered in butterflies and I could not help myself from cutting them out and using them everywhere. I am now tired of butterflies (for the moment) after using so many of them. I can't help but think when Larissa is older and looking at her scrapbooks that she will say to me 'so, what was up with all the butterflies??' heehee.

Puppy Love: My first 6x12 that is verticle. What a fun size to work with. I ordered a 6x12 corduroy (American Crafts) album from Paws on Scrapbooking so at least this layout won't sit in a huge pile waiting for a book to call home. Larissa and her pooch, Min :)
Just Remember: I am going to journal a little on this pretty sheer tag along the top. I had forgotten to do that before I took the photo of this layout. (sorry about the tiny size of this one)Happy Girl: I just love these pattern papers...I didn't want to cut them up b/c I loved them so much! The brown butterfly along the bottom is a Scribblz Art which is basically a vinyl sticker that goes on like a rub-on...they are beautiful and easy to work with. It was my first time using them and I would love to get my hands on some more in the future. Being 4: I used my large square punch for this one..what a great way to use up scraps!! I did a bit of journaling in the graph paper (Jillibean Soup) about what she is up to at age 4.
This is a little 4x4 altered canvas. This is a the perfect little size for next to a desk/work area. I used brown paint (included in the kit) to paint the edges and a portion of the canvas.
