I burned myself out just doing way too much so in September I just dropped it all completely. I think I'm ready to come back if I can even remember how to scrapbook. I'll be giving it a try after Christmas. It'll be a bit harder now since I gave my craft room to our boy for his bedroom.<br /><br />See ya'll soon :)<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/?action=view&current=Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 309px; height: 101px;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0" /></a>Amanda Muirheadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14108820657466363456noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5239028722247865850.post-21943822518849177702011-08-20T07:55:00.002-03:002011-08-20T07:59:11.915-03:00....and a winner!<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-miMBw24yKpo/Tk-S4Se_DlI/AAAAAAAADZ8/W4W2AE0yryQ/s1600/winner.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 302px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-miMBw24yKpo/Tk-S4Se_DlI/AAAAAAAADZ8/W4W2AE0yryQ/s400/winner.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5642890353850650194" border="0" /></a>

I know it's not July anymore...that month seems to have slipped away a little bit quicker than I would have liked (along with the first half of August)! I also have more to post for July plus August work is ready to go to so I will have lots of new posts this week to make up for the absent July!

There once was a time when every single page I made had tags on it. I felt like going back to those days for this layout and used some little tags I made from pattern paper. There's lots of fun fussy cutting on this page topped with Stickles of course :)

I told you I had lots to share and there is lots more to come! This is a picture of Larissa & Min last fall. Just a day or two after this photo, Min fell very ill and we thought we were going to lose her. She is 14 years old and she refused to move, eat or drink. We said our goodbyes and took her to the vet for what we thought was the last time. I was rather hysterical. Imagine how happy I was to leave with a bottle of antibiotics, a $50 vet bill and the promise of healthy dog real soon. After a little tlc, like giving her water by syringe, we had our ole Min back in just a day or two. So our beloved Min, although 14 years old is still running around and extremely healthy. She really is the perfect family pet.<br /><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w3yuztg4IbU/TgM5qkwL82I/AAAAAAAADS4/q6JNw-1hXbc/s1600/P1420713.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 270px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w3yuztg4IbU/TgM5qkwL82I/AAAAAAAADS4/q6JNw-1hXbc/s400/P1420713.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5621400163471586146" border="0" /></a>I stitched this inner circle and then used blue Stickles in between each stitch.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NEKpsLO_CRM/TgM5qWX4NnI/AAAAAAAADSw/s-ehkP8BtsQ/s1600/P1420712.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 264px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NEKpsLO_CRM/TgM5qWX4NnI/AAAAAAAADSw/s-ehkP8BtsQ/s400/P1420712.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5621400159611532914" border="0" /></a>I just love using these <a href="http://www.primamarketinginc.com/index.php/ice-precious-metals-collections.html">funky metallic leaves</a> on my pages. <span style="display: block;" id="formatbar_Buttons"><span class=" down" style="display: block;" id="formatbar_CreateLink" title="Link" onmouseover="ButtonHoverOn(this);" onmouseout="ButtonHoverOff(this);" onmouseup="" onmousedown="CheckFormatting(event);FormatbarButton('richeditorframe', this, 8);ButtonMouseDown(this);"><img src="img/blank.gif" alt="Link" class="gl_link" border="0" /></span></span><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IxBqzLEzjtk/TgM5qG2xJBI/AAAAAAAADSo/0iJOoVj1nzo/s1600/P1420711.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 247px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IxBqzLEzjtk/TgM5qG2xJBI/AAAAAAAADSo/0iJOoVj1nzo/s400/P1420711.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5621400155446125586" border="0" /></a><br />And lastly, here is a set of altered jars that I made using some old ice tea bottles.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XDuoi7V-EZY/TgM5q08bbiI/AAAAAAAADTA/-uwjnKwWTeM/s1600/Altered%2BJars%2Bwatermarked.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 368px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XDuoi7V-EZY/TgM5q08bbiI/AAAAAAAADTA/-uwjnKwWTeM/s400/Altered%2BJars%2Bwatermarked.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5621400167817899554" border="0" /></a>Thanks for visiting!<br /><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/?action=view&current=Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 200px; height: 65px;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0" /></a>Amanda Muirheadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14108820657466363456noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5239028722247865850.post-87095835772165848232011-06-22T07:55:00.000-03:002011-06-22T07:56:35.411-03:00take time...<div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GI4N6MgePG4/TgB9hZ3fjdI/AAAAAAAADSU/ew2q33T2zYE/s1600/Take%2BTime%2Bwatermark.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 397px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GI4N6MgePG4/TgB9hZ3fjdI/AAAAAAAADSU/ew2q33T2zYE/s400/Take%2BTime%2Bwatermark.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620630347791175122" border="0" /></a>This is another layout that I created for Prima Marketing (winter CHA). Time take to smell the flowers - this is not really advice I need to give to Larissa. She is always taking time to smell the flowers (and weeds) and pick just about anything that grows. I just love that she gets so excited about it. She loves to point out when the cherry trees or weigela are in bloom. My kitchen table is almost always adorned with a plastic princess cups filled with weeds or flowers of some sort.<br /></div><br />Here are some detail shots for you :)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WyLt2K4CNC4/TgB9g__bILI/AAAAAAAADSM/7rTspLnvYQ0/s1600/P1420657.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WyLt2K4CNC4/TgB9g__bILI/AAAAAAAADSM/7rTspLnvYQ0/s400/P1420657.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620630340845117618" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XBVGAlKXgts/TgB9glFaeAI/AAAAAAAADSE/yGpgFCRmCto/s1600/P1420651.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XBVGAlKXgts/TgB9glFaeAI/AAAAAAAADSE/yGpgFCRmCto/s400/P1420651.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620630333622482946" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zBLt49iN0t4/TgB9gYuM8gI/AAAAAAAADR8/-7j03Y9ljY8/s1600/P1420648.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zBLt49iN0t4/TgB9gYuM8gI/AAAAAAAADR8/-7j03Y9ljY8/s400/P1420648.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620630330303902210" border="0" /></a>Thanks for the visit!<br /><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/?action=view&current=Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 242px; height: 79px;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0" /></a>Amanda Muirheadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14108820657466363456noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5239028722247865850.post-91462961640616739702011-06-20T11:03:00.010-03:002011-06-20T13:04:06.568-03:00Lupin Lane<div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1TvKBF7hZko/Tf9TeaHwAOI/AAAAAAAADRI/qvsxNMj9Uec/s1600/Lupins_Clinton_Prince_Edward_Island.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1TvKBF7hZko/Tf9TeaHwAOI/AAAAAAAADRI/qvsxNMj9Uec/s400/Lupins_Clinton_Prince_Edward_Island.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620302641854677218" border="0" /></a>This is where I live. {<a href="http://www.tourismpei.com/index.php3">Prince Edward Island</a>} I'm pretty convinced that I live in one of the most wonderful little spots in the entire world. Then again, I've never really left to see the rest of the world so what do I know? I don't really care to leave...at least not for more than a week or two at a time. In June the lupins come out to bloom. They fill up the ditches and the edges of fields. They overlook the cliffs and dunes at the ocean and they just make this Island that much prettier. A dear friend once told me that as she and her family crossed the Confederation Bridge and entered PEI, they could smell this smell.... I piped up "Was it pesticide sprays from the fields? Was it smell of deep frying french fries from the processing plant? Was it manure on fields?" No, she told me it was a beautiful fragrant, flower smell that was everywhere. It was lupins. It's funny how sometimes when we are surrounded by great beauty all the time we need to have it pointed out to us by someone who is discovering it for the first time. Lupins come in a several colours,. Here we mainly see pink, white and lots and lots of shades of purple. So, here I am again, showing you a <span style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153); font-style: italic;">purple</span> page even though I avoid it like the plague in scrapbooking. I think it works for this page though ;)<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kcqqWaZG-kY/Tf9aG9rYZcI/AAAAAAAADRo/MeelwutSd88/s1600/Lupin%2BLane%2Bwatermarked.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 398px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kcqqWaZG-kY/Tf9aG9rYZcI/AAAAAAAADRo/MeelwutSd88/s400/Lupin%2BLane%2Bwatermarked.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620309935663900098" border="0" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lz_RueT26q4/Tf9Zz6AZjiI/AAAAAAAADRg/QeGZb0nZgKw/s1600/P1420667.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lz_RueT26q4/Tf9Zz6AZjiI/AAAAAAAADRg/QeGZb0nZgKw/s400/P1420667.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620309608260800034" border="0" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EZVvPLd4GKU/Tf9Zzg63CFI/AAAAAAAADRY/K_Q8OmWZoKY/s1600/P1420664.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 280px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EZVvPLd4GKU/Tf9Zzg63CFI/AAAAAAAADRY/K_Q8OmWZoKY/s400/P1420664.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620309601526679634" border="0" /></a>This is Larissa in front of our house this time last year. I would love to get some new lupin shots this year but we had a torrential downpour yesterday and most of the lupins were flattened. They'll be back up and spry in a few days again so I'll wander out with my camera and get new photos. This time with my baby boy in there too :)<br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />I created this layout for <a href="http://www.primamarketinginc.com/">Prima Marketing</a>. The purple fabric trim is one of the prettiest scrapbook embellishments I have ever worked with (even if it is <span style="font-style: italic; color: rgb(102, 51, 102);">purple</span>! LOL) There were so many pretty little bits that I loved from Prima's winter CHA release, some of which are metal/glass trinkets and crochet flower centres. I'd link 'em up to Prima for you but that portion of their site doesn't seem to be working at this time.<br /><br />Thanks for taking the time to stop by and peek in on my work.<br /></div><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/?action=view&current=Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 193px; height: 63px;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0" /></a>Amanda Muirheadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14108820657466363456noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5239028722247865850.post-83074057211722034052011-06-17T09:42:00.002-03:002011-06-17T09:49:54.661-03:00Prima-licious<div style="text-align: justify;">I have lots of Prima work to show you this week. My term with Prima Marketing is over but I did lots of work for CHA Summer 2010 and Winter 2011 and because of my sadly neglected blog during my pregnancy, I have lots to share. Here is one of my favourites from CHA winter.<br /></div><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_lAe3y_73MU/TftMGaZLX2I/AAAAAAAADRA/yVFFJr1JOa0/s1600/Greatest%2BTreasure%2Bwatermark.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 399px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_lAe3y_73MU/TftMGaZLX2I/AAAAAAAADRA/yVFFJr1JOa0/s400/Greatest%2BTreasure%2Bwatermark.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619168633122676578" border="0" /></a>Greatest Treasure: I just love this picture of Larissa from last fall. Most of the goodies on this page are from <a href="http://www.primamarketinginc.com/index.php/products/collection-1/reflections.html?limit=24">Prima's Reflections Collection</a>. Of course there's lots of fussy cutting and <a href="http://www.rangerink.com/products/prod_decorativeglue_stickles.htm">Stickles</a> too.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--dNpFod0nWE/TftMGJyZtaI/AAAAAAAADQ4/Vd_sRL1tkJw/s1600/P1420754.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--dNpFod0nWE/TftMGJyZtaI/AAAAAAAADQ4/Vd_sRL1tkJw/s400/P1420754.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619168628665071010" border="0" /></a>Thanks for stopping by today!<br /><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/?action=view&current=Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 245px; height: 80px;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0" /></a>Amanda Muirheadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14108820657466363456noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5239028722247865850.post-21171794417750491042011-06-12T07:00:00.002-03:002011-06-12T07:25:49.131-03:00My Big Strong Boy!<div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-82I2w7NU07U/TfPNnjYm5jI/AAAAAAAADHM/mZ0thwje79M/s1600/my%2Bbig%2Bstrong%2Bboy%2B-%2Bcopyright.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 399px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-82I2w7NU07U/TfPNnjYm5jI/AAAAAAAADHM/mZ0thwje79M/s400/my%2Bbig%2Bstrong%2Bboy%2B-%2Bcopyright.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5617059239658186290" border="0" /></a>My Big Strong Boy: My boy is strong indeed. One of the first things I noticed the day he born was that he was putting weight on his legs when I held him against my chest. So it comes as no surprise that at the ripe ole age of 3 months he is just raring to go. He loves to stand upright and just holds a finger or two for balance. I have a feeling this 'little' man will be walking sooner than later.<br /><br />I really enjoyed working on this 'real boy' layout. I know I have done other pages of my boy but this is the first one where I have picked/bought my own supplies instead of working for a DT. I really love these colours from My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup and I see a lot more MME in my (and my boys) future. I really loved the little monster chipboard that came with this line. I think the little blue monster looking an awful lot like Hudson LOL<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_kWDXAQpoII/TfPNn8o9c0I/AAAAAAAADHU/jZCpZh4Q06s/s1600/P1430440.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_kWDXAQpoII/TfPNn8o9c0I/AAAAAAAADHU/jZCpZh4Q06s/s400/P1430440.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5617059246437659458" border="0" /></a><span style="font-style: italic;">Little Tip: </span>One thing you may have noticed is that if you look closely you will find in a number on most of my pages. It may be the date, the number of people in the layout, the age of the person in my layout etc. If the number is on something like this ruler, I like to accentuate it by circling it, underlining it or drawing attention to it in some way. In this layout, I used an off set circle to draw attention to the 3 and wrote the word 'months' on the circle.<br /></div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oP5_5xH2RFA/TfPNoBk_FpI/AAAAAAAADHc/9huLBpq5LLU/s1600/P1430444.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 271px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oP5_5xH2RFA/TfPNoBk_FpI/AAAAAAAADHc/9huLBpq5LLU/s400/P1430444.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5617059247763166866" border="0" /></a><br />Thanks for stopping by again! There are lots of baskets, containers and toy boxes in her bedroom but there was a need for small containers for storing her more 'precious' items. Precious things like her Pez collection, magic wands, silly bandz, lip gloss, body glitter etc. I wracked my brain and then I remembered some little containers that I had tucked aside some time ago. I pulled out some old Betty Crocker (or Duncan Hines) icing containers that used to look like this before all the yummy contents were gobbled up.<br /></div><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KXJKtneuSSw/TfPYQk7V8wI/AAAAAAAADHk/5z6lu-BYuAQ/s1600/Duncan%2BHines%2BCreamy%2BHomestyle%2BButter%2BCream.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 239px; height: 284px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KXJKtneuSSw/TfPYQk7V8wI/AAAAAAAADHk/5z6lu-BYuAQ/s400/Duncan%2BHines%2BCreamy%2BHomestyle%2BButter%2BCream.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5617070939563225858" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">They were already washed up with the labels removed just waiting to be put to good use. I pulled out some scrap paper and went to work on this simple little project. I used <a href="http://www.cratepaper.com/paperdoll.html">Crate Paper's Paper Doll Collection</a>. It was an easy choice with the little dolls, purses and matching patterns. All I did was use one simple band of paper wrapped around each container. I used <a href="http://www.beaconadhesives.com/cgfab.html">Fabri-tac</a> to adhere the pattern paper to the container. At the top of each container I adhered a simple piece of lace, again with the Fabri-tac and voila - instant gratification and instant organization! When Larissa came home from school she was absolutely thrilled with her new little containers. They made finding her most important little treasures so much easier instead of digging through larger baskets or bins. I also love any project that reduces, re-uses & recycles...go green!!<br /><br /></div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5gDVdgk498E/TfPbtJqGivI/AAAAAAAADH8/luJvRWFLMRM/s1600/containers%2B1%2Bsmall.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 270px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5gDVdgk498E/TfPbtJqGivI/AAAAAAAADH8/luJvRWFLMRM/s400/containers%2B1%2Bsmall.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5617074728994245362" border="0" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a8ptsoOr_2Y/TfPbtfwP_EI/AAAAAAAADIE/ful-AZMCD1g/s1600/containers%2B2%2Bsmall.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 238px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a8ptsoOr_2Y/TfPbtfwP_EI/AAAAAAAADIE/ful-AZMCD1g/s400/containers%2B2%2Bsmall.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5617074734925610050" border="0" /></a>I think they'll be lots more of these little containers popping up around the house, especially in Larissa's art corner!<br /><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/?action=view&current=Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 261px; height: 85px;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0" /></a>Amanda Muirheadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14108820657466363456noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5239028722247865850.post-39298360814540478682011-06-10T06:00:00.003-03:002011-06-10T08:08:04.152-03:00My Creative Scrapbook - June Limited Edition Kit<div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yoAimDdmNA4/Te_6NSeGLxI/AAAAAAAADG4/xxjfYtTDk2E/s1600/MCS%2BJune%2BLimited%2BEdition%2BKit.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 283px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yoAimDdmNA4/Te_6NSeGLxI/AAAAAAAADG4/xxjfYtTDk2E/s400/MCS%2BJune%2BLimited%2BEdition%2BKit.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615982366557613842" border="0" /></a>I have SIX layouts that I want to share with you that I created using this kit! I even created some cards with the leftovers but I didn't get them photographed before I gave them away. Actually, that's a lie... I did photograph them but the photos are too awful too use and since the cards are gone...<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">This kit featured Crate Paper's Portrait line which is a wedding theme but that doesn't limit you to wedding layouts. You can use it for just about anything. I just love this eclectic mix of colours and patterns. We have had a very sad little spring here on PEI...cold, RAINY and rainy. Did I mention it was rainy? Yes, well 27 days of rain in May. Gross eh? So when the sun finally graced us with her appearance we took full advantage of the free vitamin D and hung outside for a while and that's when I snapped this sweet photo.<br /></div><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sT1xj1iOFLA/Te_3OqUf3-I/AAAAAAAADGI/e6WBVVdpY6c/s1600/LE%2B-%2BNannys%2BBoy.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 350px; height: 353px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sT1xj1iOFLA/Te_3OqUf3-I/AAAAAAAADGI/e6WBVVdpY6c/s400/LE%2B-%2BNannys%2BBoy.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615979091604791266" border="0" /></a>Nanny's boy: Little Hudson and his Nanny (not Nanny as in live-in caretaker, Nanny as in Grandmother) I loved all these pattern so much that I cut up little 3x3 squares and arranged them on a circle and 'quilted them' in a very rough fashion. The journaling reads "<span style="font-style: italic;">They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This picture says happy a thousand times</span>" When I was thinking about scrapping this photo, I just knew I wanted a big 4 on it. 4, 4, 4!!! There are 4 of us now in our little family and it makes me so happy :D<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xtlBbhK1uxw/Te_2a_gK10I/AAAAAAAADFo/-InjjgnlQ90/s1600/LE%2B-%2Bbig%2Blittle%2Bgirls.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 357px; height: 350px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xtlBbhK1uxw/Te_2a_gK10I/AAAAAAAADFo/-InjjgnlQ90/s400/LE%2B-%2Bbig%2Blittle%2Bgirls.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615978203937691458" border="0" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WSo6Wa2ZYS4/Te_5WVTzOdI/AAAAAAAADGg/l86xsXxhmT4/s1600/LE%2Bclose%2Bup%2B3.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WSo6Wa2ZYS4/Te_5WVTzOdI/AAAAAAAADGg/l86xsXxhmT4/s400/LE%2Bclose%2Bup%2B3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615981422426929618" border="0" /></a>Big Little Girls: Kind of a strange title eh? I wanted to share another kit with you today. This is <a href="http://www.mycreativescrapbook.com/">June's Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook</a>. I was so happy to get this kit. I had been wanting Basic Grey's Sweet Threads for some time so I was excited to finally get to work with it. I find all the patterns in this line are fairly similar so I used white cardstock to balance things out a little bit. My fellow design team members came up with some gorgeous designs with this kit (as usual!). <a href="http://www.mycreativescrapbook.com/gallery.htm">You can check 'em out here</a>!<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-29-If-xNyQU/Te_uvxvVuSI/AAAAAAAADEg/NybmFpBsFrI/s1600/Main%2B-%2Bsweet%2Bwords.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 353px; height: 350px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-29-If-xNyQU/Te_uvxvVuSI/AAAAAAAADEg/NybmFpBsFrI/s400/Main%2B-%2Bsweet%2Bwords.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615969764927453474" border="0" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DWuKg1OqmoI/Te_u_sx36GI/AAAAAAAADEw/gGTUDSvEMPU/s1600/Main%2Bclose%2Bup%2B1.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 259px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DWuKg1OqmoI/Te_u_sx36GI/AAAAAAAADEw/gGTUDSvEMPU/s400/Main%2Bclose%2Bup%2B1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615970038473812066" border="0" /></a>Sweet Words: "Baby Hudson is very very cute" Larissa certainly loved her brother and was convinced he was cute even before he was born. She had written this note on her little magnetic doodle about a week before he arrived.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XzA1L7xd0V4/Te_uwGwJwmI/AAAAAAAADEo/xGxFQ5GDMAc/s1600/Main%2B-%2Btender%2Bkiss.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 352px; height: 350px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XzA1L7xd0V4/Te_uwGwJwmI/AAAAAAAADEo/xGxFQ5GDMAc/s400/Main%2B-%2Btender%2Bkiss.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615969770568008290" border="0" /></a>Tender Kiss: Little Baby Hudson has had no shortage of kisses. Larissa peppers him with her love daily...many times a day actually. She doesn't even mind when he is crying. I am continuously surprised at how patient and kind she is with him. He couldn't ask for a better sister.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DzRVO0Z6zCE/Te_uGXmP0WI/AAAAAAAADEQ/EHo-5fsGQW0/s1600/Main%2B-%2Blittle%2Bsprout.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 350px; height: 351px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DzRVO0Z6zCE/Te_uGXmP0WI/AAAAAAAADEQ/EHo-5fsGQW0/s400/Main%2B-%2Blittle%2Bsprout.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615969053535359330" border="0" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-U3SQg4BYZfE/Te_0gVPeniI/AAAAAAAADFA/IkgSyKu4-zQ/s1600/main%2Bclose%2Bup%2B3.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 282px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-U3SQg4BYZfE/Te_0gVPeniI/AAAAAAAADFA/IkgSyKu4-zQ/s400/main%2Bclose%2Bup%2B3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615976096649354786" border="0" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lMoy6Y-yhqM/Te_0fyIipZI/AAAAAAAADE4/p77ibGzATLs/s1600/main%2Bclose%2Bup%2B2.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lMoy6Y-yhqM/Te_0fyIipZI/AAAAAAAADE4/p77ibGzATLs/s400/main%2Bclose%2Bup%2B2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615976087225017746" border="0" /></a>Little Sprout: I just love this die cut that came with the kit that says "little sprout". It's the perfect title for my little sprout hard at work planting her seeds. This girl has a true passion for gardening. Her favourite Easter present was some child sized gardening gloves (found at Michaels...that is the Easter bunny found them there of course). She received some little seed kids in her Easter basket: sunflowers, green beans and birdhouse gourds. After totally gorging on her Easter treats the first thing she wanted to do was get to work with the planting. I really liked the flowers/greenery stickers in this kit and used dimensional adhesive (pop dots) to lift them off the page so they would stand out more. The offset circle in the large scallop die cut were easily made using two circle punches.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DK1qt9HEIKU/Te_uGzAv4YI/AAAAAAAADEY/fKlk3yWGcaY/s1600/Main%2B-%2Bmy%2Bsunshine.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 353px; height: 350px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DK1qt9HEIKU/Te_uGzAv4YI/AAAAAAAADEY/fKlk3yWGcaY/s400/Main%2B-%2Bmy%2Bsunshine.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615969060894269826" border="0" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HAYJfg834nM/Te_0gpzAhPI/AAAAAAAADFI/0RVQ7QNz_lM/s1600/Main%2Bclose%2Bup%2B4.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HAYJfg834nM/Te_0gpzAhPI/AAAAAAAADFI/0RVQ7QNz_lM/s400/Main%2Bclose%2Bup%2B4.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615976102167086322" border="0" /></a>My Beautiful Sunshine: It was so beautiful to get a day in the sun after 27 days of rain (ACK!!) I had more than enough supplies to decorate all 12 pages in this mini plus I made a 12x12 layout with the leftovers. I could have even made another layout but I ran short on time, so I saved those supplies for another day, another layout.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">It's been a few months since I created a mini so I thought it would take me a little longer than usual to create this one. Usually when I have been away from my projects for a while they take a little bit longer to get back into but I was wrong on this count. I finished this mini album in a little over 24 hours. I thought that was rather impressive since I could only work on it while little Mr. Hudson was napping or sleeping. I was enjoying working on it so much that I stayed up quite late one evening not realizing the time.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">This kit featured Teresa Collins Posh. PINK~BLACK~WHITE... Perfection!! I had a lot of fun with it. Here are the pages!<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8029q-1Aq5c/Te-o3XGBQoI/AAAAAAAADDQ/ji4f6WYPA-g/s1600/Album%2B1.jpg"><img style="display:block; She has the costume and she is constantly begging me to put her in lessons. I've hesitate to do so because I wasn't sure she'd really like ballet especially after the fast pace of hip hop and step lessons that she has taken the past couple of years. I think she's now proven to me that she would really enjoy ballet. She 'practices' several times a week Swan Lake and Nutcracker music and imitates their moves. So hopefully this fall we'll find a program that suits our little would-be ballerina :)<br /><br />Thanks for stopping by today. I'm glad Blogger seems to have resolved all the issues it was having last month... it erased several of my posts and it was so hard to get it to save anything but now it seems to be back to it's ole self :)<br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span></div><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/?action=view&current=Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 206px; height: 67px;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0" /></a>Amanda Muirheadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14108820657466363456noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5239028722247865850.post-81402983739083083842011-05-05T13:25:00.004-03:002011-05-05T13:32:23.409-03:00My Creative Scrapbook - May Reveal<div style="text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />I have two kits to show off for <a href="http://www.mycreativescrapbook.com/">My Creative Scrapbook</a>. These layouts were done with the Main and Limited Edition kits. I have to say that I am a little rusty after taking a few months off. It took me much longer than usual to create these layouts and I don't really feel that they are quite up to my usual work. I'm not stressing about it too much... it just takes a bit of work to get back into the groove of things.<br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Limited Edition Kit</span><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-T4XR1ciYDxA/TcKk8pOzsdI/AAAAAAAAC7k/TMtFZcOIlZE/s1600/Swing.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 393px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-T4XR1ciYDxA/TcKk8pOzsdI/AAAAAAAAC7k/TMtFZcOIlZE/s400/Swing.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603222248169386450" border="0" /></a>Swing- Larissa just loves to swing which is evidenced in the many, many, MANY photos I have of her happily swinging. She especially loves it when we push her good and high! To mat my photos, I cut the doilies from the Pink Paislee pattern paper and used the Pink Paislee packaging. So many companies are making beautiful packaging lately (Prima, Pink Paislee, K&Co...just to name a few) that I think it's a shame to let it go to waste. I don't care that the company or product name is visible or anything like that. I think it adds character to the layout. I'm quite confident that if you weren't a hard-core scrapbooker you wouldn't even notice that packaging was being used because it's just as pretty as the papers and embellishments :)<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-l641MsWSYgk/TcKm7iOPasI/AAAAAAAAC8U/PAX9cVCPxjs/s1600/P1420949.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-l641MsWSYgk/TcKm7iOPasI/AAAAAAAAC8U/PAX9cVCPxjs/s400/P1420949.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603224428131347138" border="0" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-69z3QRmesvs/TcKshU2qVhI/AAAAAAAAC8k/W2KdMFdhhpo/s1600/P1420950.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-69z3QRmesvs/TcKshU2qVhI/AAAAAAAAC8k/W2KdMFdhhpo/s400/P1420950.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603230574935954962" border="0" /></a>I love to dress up fussy cut outs with liquid pearls and Stickles. Larissa was so happy to finally have full access to him instead of short hospital visits. This is the layout that I am the least happy from this kit work with and although I don't think there's anything terribly wrong with it, I'm pretty sure it's going to get a major re-do in the very near future. If I don't really like a layout it just bugs me until I have to take it apart and start all over again so don't be surprised to see this photo and title again but on a totally different page.<br /></div><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6ofkgRaPAnA/TcKsiJVsM0I/AAAAAAAAC80/Hcb-GYZEVH8/s1600/P1420960.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6ofkgRaPAnA/TcKsiJVsM0I/AAAAAAAAC80/Hcb-GYZEVH8/s400/P1420960.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603230589024744258" border="0" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WjBQqNkNM0k/TcKsiWiY0jI/AAAAAAAAC88/dtity5UX7fo/s1600/P1420962.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WjBQqNkNM0k/TcKsiWiY0jI/AAAAAAAAC88/dtity5UX7fo/s400/P1420962.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603230592567661106" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><div style="text-align: center;">-----------------------------------------------------------------<br /><br /></div><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z0ZVpWxAf3s/TcKvQCsYmeI/AAAAAAAAC-c/hfsZNXyjVlo/s1600/asleep%2Bin%2Bmy%2Barms.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 397px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z0ZVpWxAf3s/TcKvQCsYmeI/AAAAAAAAC-c/hfsZNXyjVlo/s400/asleep%2Bin%2Bmy%2Barms.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603233576538118626" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Asleep in my arms - I had Jason snap this photo of Hudson asleep in my arms. This saves bulk on your pages and stretches the paper in your kits just a little bit further. When I decide where I am going to put a layer of paper on, I cut out the paper behind it. Be careful to cut out a smaller piece from the back so that your top layer covers the hole left behind.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5WpKp7oaJLo/TcKzXZmtuNI/AAAAAAAAC_M/mStxzeIMFZw/s1600/IMG_2295.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5WpKp7oaJLo/TcKzXZmtuNI/AAAAAAAAC_M/mStxzeIMFZw/s400/IMG_2295.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603238100993947858" border="0" /></a>If you would like to see a lot more designing with these kits, click <a href="http://www.mycreativescrapbook.com/gallery.htm">here</a> to see what my fellow design members have created. It's been quite a long while but I'm happy to say I've come back to land of blogging :) I had given up blogging during my pregnancy just because I didn't feel like it. After working with a computer all day long, the very last thing I wanted to do in the evenings was update my blog or spend any amount of time online. Well now that my baby boy is here, I am on a one year maternity leave so I have a little more time for these things (sorta, kinda... I think... do you really have more time when there's a new baby around??).<br /><br />Here is a couple of layouts that I did last fall (for My Creative Scrapbook) using Fancy Pants Happy Together papers with my little boy's ultrasound pictures.<br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YjGno-aGjgo/TZnYAOsyDkI/AAAAAAAAC7E/90EuyCD1s1M/s1600/heartbeat.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 397px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YjGno-aGjgo/TZnYAOsyDkI/AAAAAAAAC7E/90EuyCD1s1M/s400/heartbeat.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591737910814707266" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nhToz8vpWE0/TZnX_uFh74I/AAAAAAAAC68/KBMWF3gSUwo/s1600/1stglimpse.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 399px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nhToz8vpWE0/TZnX_uFh74I/AAAAAAAAC68/KBMWF3gSUwo/s400/1stglimpse.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591737902060138370" border="0" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oVphnW1g9Cs/TZnYAaMNnyI/AAAAAAAAC7M/IYgjeYLVPUk/s1600/peekaboo.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 399px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oVphnW1g9Cs/TZnYAaMNnyI/AAAAAAAAC7M/IYgjeYLVPUk/s400/peekaboo.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591737913899327266" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-y9x2MRuW-KA/TZnX_kgVXsI/AAAAAAAAC60/fpI8bJUe9yQ/s1600/Amanda%2B1%2560.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 274px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-y9x2MRuW-KA/TZnX_kgVXsI/AAAAAAAAC60/fpI8bJUe9yQ/s400/Amanda%2B1%2560.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591737899488206530" border="0" /></a>Me at 34 weeks pregnant.<br /></div><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DPBBmyzyNfs/TZnXYdhARuI/AAAAAAAAC6s/YcgEdC4XPwQ/s1600/IMG_9832%2Bcopy.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DPBBmyzyNfs/TZnXYdhARuI/AAAAAAAAC6s/YcgEdC4XPwQ/s400/IMG_9832%2Bcopy.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591737227597072098" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oVphnW1g9Cs/TZnYAaMNnyI/AAAAAAAAC7M/IYgjeYLVPUk/s1600/peekaboo.jpg"><br /></a><div style="text-align: justify;">Our first family of four photograph taken the day my baby boy was born. Hudson James arrived by c-section, 10:15 am on February 10, 2011, weighting in at ..... are you ready for this....... 11 pounds, 1 ounce. Yes, <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">over ELEVEN POUNDS</span>!! I have to say that was quite a shock considering Larissa only weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces when she was born. I suppose giving into my pregnancy cravings of chocolate milk and an entire cantaloupe everyday contributed to growing a very big boy!<br /><br />Here are a few shots of Hudson at six days old. I haven't scrapbooked them yet just in case you are wondering, but I have scrapbooked a few other photos that you will see in a couple of days.<br /></div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tO775o2KT80/TZnXYELhreI/AAAAAAAAC6k/j4026XFmQLI/s1600/IMG_0205.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tO775o2KT80/TZnXYELhreI/AAAAAAAAC6k/j4026XFmQLI/s400/IMG_0205.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591737220796100066" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-c0GYhHHE0lM/TZnXX6r0BeI/AAAAAAAAC6c/riC3GlxW4cs/s1600/IMG_0237%2Bcopy.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 272px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-c0GYhHHE0lM/TZnXX6r0BeI/AAAAAAAAC6c/riC3GlxW4cs/s400/IMG_0237%2Bcopy.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591737218247165410" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cU3ATT3rSsk/TZnXX9FjeGI/AAAAAAAAC6U/V9Pm8NaqTOI/s1600/IMG_0165.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 277px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cU3ATT3rSsk/TZnXX9FjeGI/AAAAAAAAC6U/V9Pm8NaqTOI/s400/IMG_0165.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591737218892003426" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RVrJdPbV7J4/TZnXXiDaVbI/AAAAAAAAC6M/d9e68L6MzWo/s1600/announcement.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RVrJdPbV7J4/TZnXXiDaVbI/AAAAAAAAC6M/d9e68L6MzWo/s400/announcement.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5591737211635258802" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">I am happy to be back into scrapbooking (and blogging) so expect lots of posts from me. I am forever indebted to this hurricane for taking away the hot air mass and humidity which was stuck over us for almost a week. So today, the sun is shining, the temperature is normal and we are off to enjoy the unofficial last weekend of Summer. Cavendish here we come!<br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />I leave you with another gorgeous (and huge!) kit from <a href="http://www.mycreativescrapbook.com/">My Creative Scrapbook</a>. Glitter, ink, spray adhesive, scrap paper and of course a doily! A heat gun is optional but speeds up the process a little bit.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIKkrXYbkkI/AAAAAAAAC00/hkLPiMjchR4/s1600/2.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIKkrXYbkkI/AAAAAAAAC00/hkLPiMjchR4/s400/2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513149958772724290" border="0" /></a><br />Step 2) Carefully ink the doily. I used pale colours to give it a soft effect. Just dab the doily carefully. Son't sweep the ink pad across the doily because it is delicate and tears easily.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIKkrgrszgI/AAAAAAAAC08/VCYJs9Qu1Lc/s1600/3.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIKkrgrszgI/AAAAAAAAC08/VCYJs9Qu1Lc/s400/3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513149961269464578" border="0" /></a>Step 3) After inking the doily to your liking, place the doily on scrap paper. Use a large bag or box so that when you use the adhesive, it doesn't get on your work surface. Spray adhesive evenly over the doily. You will probably want to have a window open during this process because the spray adhesive smells quite strongly.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIKksCY4RBI/AAAAAAAAC1E/gXHcFEjkFcs/s1600/4.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIKksCY4RBI/AAAAAAAAC1E/gXHcFEjkFcs/s400/4.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513149970317329426" border="0" /></a>Step 4) Remove the doily off the scrap paper that was used for spraying the adhesive. Place doily on a clean piece of scrap paper and generously pour glitter over it. Shake off excess glitter and return it to the jar.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIKk6roi1tI/AAAAAAAAC1M/_p7Mp3D-KT0/s1600/5.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIKk6roi1tI/AAAAAAAAC1M/_p7Mp3D-KT0/s400/5.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513150221907056338" border="0" /></a>Your doily should look like this now but there will be one more step to seal in the glitter.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIKk6_GU8BI/AAAAAAAAC1U/3tJP88-IP-o/s1600/6.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIKk6_GU8BI/AAAAAAAAC1U/3tJP88-IP-o/s400/6.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5513150227132248082" border="0" /></a>Step 5) Return the doily to the scrap paper you use spraying on adhesive. Spray another even coat of adhesive on the glittered doily to 'seal in the glitter. Carefully use the heat gun to finish drying the top coat of adhesive. Be very careful not to scorch the doily. (If you don't have a heat gun then you can leave the doily to air dry. It just take a little bit longer that way.)<br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span><br /><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/?action=view&current=Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 270px; height: 88px;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0" /></a>Amanda Muirheadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14108820657466363456noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5239028722247865850.post-47855688489893034222010-09-04T01:40:00.000-03:002010-09-04T01:41:25.442-03:00Her Party<div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFDyVrlfYI/AAAAAAAACow/mZ1Xr1INNbM/s1600/Her+Party+2+pages+border+blue+small.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 208px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFDyVrlfYI/AAAAAAAACow/mZ1Xr1INNbM/s400/Her+Party+2+pages+border+blue+small.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485740353206451586" border="0" /></a>Oooooh... a double layout! Now that's something you don't see too often coming from me. There was a time, about 6 years ago, when all my scrapping was double layouts because I was told that's what I was supposed to do. I'm not one to follow scrapbooking rules so I tossed that idea years ago. Not that there's anything wrong with doubles, it's just I find them quite difficult to do...plus it takes up double my working space! I normally start with a nice clean table but by the time I am done of a layout, I am working with a tiny 12x12 space on my desk.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">These are all snapshots from Larissa's 5th birthday last January. There's all kinds of fun here 1) sparkle shoes 2) lots of cousins to share the day with 3) a new Hannah Montanna costume 4) My Little Pony pinata 5) blowing out 5 candles 6) Barbie jewerly box and 7) a very large My Little Pony cake with 5 ponies on it and 8) no party is complete without a game of pin the tale of the unicorn :)<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">I used bits and piece from <a href="http://www.mylyb.com/free_spirit">Little Yellow Bicycle's Free Spirit line</a>. I was lucky enough to win athis line on National Scrapbook Day. The rest of the goodies on this page are little bits from my stash, American Crafts Thickers, K&Co felt flower and Bella Blvd. papers.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">For the misting, I used a sheet of KI Memories lace cardstock as a mask along with a pale pink mist that is a bit of a custom colour. I had Glimmer Mist that was too light and Maya Mist that was too strong so I mixed a bit of both to come up wit this colour.<br /></div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFDyBDdr-I/AAAAAAAACoo/UJlCSba9Nfs/s1600/Her+Party+Page+2.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 398px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFDyBDdr-I/AAAAAAAACoo/UJlCSba9Nfs/s400/Her+Party+Page+2.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485740347669458914" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFDxRsBECI/AAAAAAAACog/mIcP7kTokSA/s1600/Her+Party+Page+1+lighter.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFDxRsBECI/AAAAAAAACog/mIcP7kTokSA/s400/Her+Party+Page+1+lighter.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485740334954647586" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFNPIqmzLI/AAAAAAAACsg/FxZqGCsKsdM/s1600/her+party+1.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFNPIqmzLI/AAAAAAAACsg/FxZqGCsKsdM/s400/her+party+1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485750743533538482" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/?action=view&current=Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 190px; height: 62px;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0" /></a>Amanda Muirheadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14108820657466363456noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5239028722247865850.post-53791645935230702072010-09-03T09:15:00.002-03:002010-09-03T18:47:41.845-03:00SweetnessHere are a few recent pages that I created for the Pink Paislee blog.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDILZFJ-YI/AAAAAAAACww/1CoAynM9GZM/s1600/Sweetie+Resized+for+blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img style="width: 376px; height: 381px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDILZFJ-YI/AAAAAAAACww/1CoAynM9GZM/s320/Sweetie+Resized+for+blog.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Sweetie: Oh my Larissa is a sweetie all right...with a major sweet tooth! She definately gets that attribute from her Daddy and she will do just about anything to get a treat. That's why she loves visiting her grandparents so much...she knows that a few cuddles and hints will usually land her a lollilop or a candy. This photo was taken at my parents place where she was happily leaning against their fridge and enjoying her sweet treat.<br /><br />Most of the products here are from Pink Paislee's brand new <a href="http://www.pinkpaislee.com/home.php?cat=61">Sweetness line</a> (I LOOOOVE it!). The die cut though, is a halloween die cut paper (<a href="http://www.pinkpaislee.com/product.php?productid=362&cat=62&page=1">Spider's Lair</a>) from their <a href="http://www.pinkpaislee.com/home.php?cat=62">Hocus Pocus line.</a> I used a craft knife to cut out the centre of of the die cut (the web portion). Then I took some pink markers and added a wee bit of colour of colour so it would tie in nicely with the Sweetness goodies. To create the lollipop, I simpy used a Sweetness Doodad with a lollipop stick glued underneath. You can get lollipop sticks at any candy supply store (I bought mine at the Bulk Barn).</div><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDITd2FKZI/AAAAAAAACxA/6xp2slhOrTA/s1600/Sweetie+close+up+2+for+blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDITd2FKZI/AAAAAAAACxA/6xp2slhOrTA/s320/Sweetie+close+up+2+for+blog.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDIQL-bSII/AAAAAAAACw4/ZgTH77jyKKs/s1600/Sweetie+close+up+for+blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDIQL-bSII/AAAAAAAACw4/ZgTH77jyKKs/s320/Sweetie+close+up+for+blog.jpg" border="0" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDItmOcGOI/AAAAAAAACxI/cUvrTLcNtgc/s1600/HocusPocus_die_cute+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDItmOcGOI/AAAAAAAACxI/cUvrTLcNtgc/s320/HocusPocus_die_cute+copy.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDI3DyMW7I/AAAAAAAACxQ/K5lM7SMLo2I/s1600/Page+Maps+August+-+inspiration+for+Cotton+Candy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDI3DyMW7I/AAAAAAAACxQ/K5lM7SMLo2I/s320/Page+Maps+August+-+inspiration+for+Cotton+Candy.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDfmQInKAI/AAAAAAAACyA/BGQ0-ytyfCI/s1600/cotton+candy.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 397px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TIDfmQInKAI/AAAAAAAACyA/BGQ0-ytyfCI/s400/cotton+candy.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5512651792160598018" border="0" /></a>This layout was based a sketch from the August <a href="http://www.pagemaps.com/">PageMaps</a>. It has been a very busy summer and time has flown by a very fast. The first thing gets dropped when I am busy is my online life so forums, blogs, galleries etc all get a little bit (or a lot) behind. I had several blog posts that were scheduled to go up all during August but if I had have put the correct YEAR on the scheduler then it would have probably worked better. LOL<br /><br />So, I have oodles and oodles of work to share that I have created throughout the summer. First, these are the layouts that I created with a kit from Let's Capture Our Memories. A little birdie told me that there are a few kits left up for grabs so if you want to you can still get one <a href="http://www.letscaptureourmemories.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=216&products_id=6101">here.</a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TH-4RZEWdVI/AAAAAAAACwI/90QVoHF95Io/s1600/abeautifulday.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 398px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TH-4RZEWdVI/AAAAAAAACwI/90QVoHF95Io/s400/abeautifulday.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5512327077851198802" border="0" /></a>It's a beautiful day: This was my first time working with Webster's beautiful bloom trims <span style="font-style: italic;">*swoon*</span> I love these! I would happily use them on every single page if I could. I snapped this photo of Larissa while on an evening walk. It looks like a beautiful evening for a walk but unfortuntely it was cut short because of the black flies and mosquitoes that were feasting on us :(<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZM1DTCCI/AAAAAAAACvY/KeV9BBBG0RM/s1600/IMG_9245.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 194px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZM1DTCCI/AAAAAAAACvY/KeV9BBBG0RM/s400/IMG_9245.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493574828651907106" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZaBWfp_I/AAAAAAAACwA/H584uNVzL6w/s1600/little+chicks.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 399px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZaBWfp_I/AAAAAAAACwA/H584uNVzL6w/s400/little+chicks.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493575055291951090" border="0" /></a>Little Chicks: We were visiting a local attraction and they had these baby chicks. Larissa was just fascinated with them. She spoke to them in a very high tone was trying to get them to come closer to the cage so she could get a better look.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZZadZ71I/AAAAAAAACv4/-J2rgDEyMQc/s1600/IMG_9294.JPG"><br /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZMi5ZsdI/AAAAAAAACvQ/bGkujloML78/s1600/IMG_9234.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZMi5ZsdI/AAAAAAAACvQ/bGkujloML78/s400/IMG_9234.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493574823778562514" border="0" /></a>The gate was cut out from one of the pattern papers in the Webster's kit. A wee bit tedious but so worth the effort. I also cut the birdie & tea cup from another paper in the kit.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZYR7IRXI/AAAAAAAACvo/j86doSwaqZI/s1600/IMG_9231.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 180px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZYR7IRXI/AAAAAAAACvo/j86doSwaqZI/s400/IMG_9231.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493575025380836722" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZNGSELSI/AAAAAAAACvg/cXmVT35Vbvc/s1600/IMG_9280.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 399px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TD0ZNGSELSI/AAAAAAAACvg/cXmVT35Vbvc/s400/IMG_9280.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493574833277250850" border="0" /></a><br />Roadside View: This is another photo that I snapped while on our bug-infested evening walk. It's been a while since I've blogged. I have tons of work to share so I have lots of posts scheduled for the next several days.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Today I want to show you a layout that I did some time ago but forgot to post. I just had to do a layout about Larissa sweet little freckles around her nose.<br /></div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFEeS7LJ_I/AAAAAAAACo4/YNZqgR3bUOQ/s1600/tiny+freckles+small.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 395px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFEeS7LJ_I/AAAAAAAACo4/YNZqgR3bUOQ/s400/tiny+freckles+small.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485741108380772338" border="0" /></a>I used a few small pieces from Kaisercraft's Devonshire collection which inspired this colour pallette of soft oranges, blues and greens. I only had one sheet of this paper so I cut it up and used small pieces of it around the layout.<br /><br />The colour inspiration ------->>>>><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TDytH1x4CyI/AAAAAAAACuQ/t7jU2KZV2Jo/s1600/kaisercraft-devonshire.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 217px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TDytH1x4CyI/AAAAAAAACuQ/t7jU2KZV2Jo/s400/kaisercraft-devonshire.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493455995692124962" border="0" /></a><br />The how to ------->>>>><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TDysq_egq5I/AAAAAAAACuI/_2sUTOPxfLM/s1600/IMG_8323.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TDysq_egq5I/AAAAAAAACuI/_2sUTOPxfLM/s400/IMG_8323.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493455500079049618" border="0" /></a>To create the mask for the background, I used pieces of a piece of Marth Stewart lace cardstock. I cut the lace cardstock up and taped it to a circle to create this mask. It's not pretty but it does the trick! For the mist, I used a combination of orange Maya Mist and gold Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I mixed them together in a separate bottle to get this soft orange colour. It worked out just great because one colour was too strong the the other too light but together they were the perfect mix.<br /><br />I decorated the inside of my circle with layers and layers of cream lace. The masked flowers are bordered by gathered tulle and pearls.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFGyX4_bdI/AAAAAAAACpo/KuRplRm2GFo/s1600/freckles+close+up+3.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFGyX4_bdI/AAAAAAAACpo/KuRplRm2GFo/s400/freckles+close+up+3.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485743652334431698" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFGx7NIzRI/AAAAAAAACpg/4KB0HvMiLTM/s1600/freckles+close+up+2.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFGx7NIzRI/AAAAAAAACpg/4KB0HvMiLTM/s400/freckles+close+up+2.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485743644634303762" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFGxe6MJ8I/AAAAAAAACpY/S6eR259XlGw/s1600/freckles+close+up+1.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFGxe6MJ8I/AAAAAAAACpY/S6eR259XlGw/s400/freckles+close+up+1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485743637038639042" border="0" /></a>Thanks for stopping by today!<br /><br /><a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/?action=view&current=Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" target="_blank"><img style="width: 200px; height: 65px;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/ladybug_mandy/Amandasignaturejpg.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0" /></a>Amanda Muirheadhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14108820657466363456noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5239028722247865850.post-85439151041224606262010-07-01T07:30:00.000-03:002010-07-01T07:44:42.008-03:00Celebrating Canada<div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFL010_FdI/AAAAAAAACsA/c-aQYKQX-nA/s1600/P1400289.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 399px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFL010_FdI/AAAAAAAACsA/c-aQYKQX-nA/s400/P1400289.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485749192288572882" border="0" /></a><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">HAPPY CANADA DAY!!</span><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">I'm off celebrating Canada Day with my family but I wanted to schedule a post to show you this Celebrating Canada layout that I created using Pink Pailsee's 365 Degrees line. You can find this layout published in Canadian Scrapbooker's summer 2010 volume.<br /><br />To create the masked title, I used Pink Paislee chipboard alphas. I patted the sticky back of the alphas against a cloth so they wouldn't be quite so sticky. I stuck them gently down on my paper and then sprayed red Maya Mist. I then removed the letters which gave me this neat effect for the title.<br /></div></div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFL2e7qhmI/AAAAAAAACsY/IiHmFxIdzvs/s1600/P1400299.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFL2e7qhmI/AAAAAAAACsY/IiHmFxIdzvs/s400/P1400299.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485749220502308450" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFL1608hfI/AAAAAAAACsQ/iGLdB-txUWY/s1600/P1400296.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFL1608hfI/AAAAAAAACsQ/iGLdB-txUWY/s400/P1400296.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485749210810451442" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFL1WEr9HI/AAAAAAAACsI/ledlGnMYhLM/s1600/P1400293.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFL1WEr9HI/AAAAAAAACsI/ledlGnMYhLM/s400/P1400293.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485749200944362610" border="0" /></a><br />Right about now I'm heading down east to watch a small town parade in Cardigan, PEI. I had great fun with the playful die cuts and great stickers that came along with the kits. I absolutely love these <a href="http://store.scrapbook.com/ac-53036.html">yellow American Crafts Dear Lizzy Thickers</a>. I think they go perfectly with the Brook collection. Crate Paper has an awesome DT call out right now for all you interested girls. I would totally be interested if I didn't have my hands full already! I was however really excited to stumble across this post on the <a href="http://crate.typepad.com/cratepaper/2010/06/look-at-what-you-sent-us.html">Crate blog</a> recently!!!<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCahp_wbx9I/AAAAAAAACt4/O-x9db4cXpQ/s1600/bounce+-+small.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 399px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCahp_wbx9I/AAAAAAAACt4/O-x9db4cXpQ/s400/bounce+-+small.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487250938858817490" border="0" /></a>Bounce: Larissa enjoying her 'new to her' trampoline last fall. I had so much fun working with these products. The little wavy edge album is by Maya Road and the paper in this kit is from KI Memories. All these pictures are from an Easter celebration day that my sisters and I put on for our children. We made spring crafts, baked and decorated easter bunny cup cakes and played spring games. The children has a blast and ate way too much sugar!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFKI6yu_lI/AAAAAAAACrQ/-oaTlQd6ak8/s1600/Album+1.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 288px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCFKI6yu_lI/AAAAAAAACrQ/-oaTlQd6ak8/s400/Album+1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485747338195435090" border="0" /></a><br />When I make a mini album, I usually use a whole bottle of Stickles on it. I use the Stickles to decorate all the edge of my book as well as the embellishments and flowers on it. I often use it to accent the pattern on papers as well. I will usually do one side of all the pages and let them dry overnight and then come back in the morning and glitter up all the opposite sides. My most favourite stickles are Crystal, Stardust, Diamond, Cinnamon and Fruit Punch.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_FrMrs3DIXSY/TCSQYvgdfGI/AAAAAAAACtw/pmnHdu1TNtY/s1600/stickles.jpeg"><img style="display: block;
