Ok, so the first day of fall is right around the corner but here I am doing some springy layouts. I don't scrap chronologically...I just scrap whatever I feel like at the time.
Discover - This is Larissa playing is my sister's flower bed last spring. The red tulips are a Hero Arts stamp, stamped unto red cardstock, cut out and hot glued to the layout. Check out the pretty lace/ribbon (white) that I found at Wallyworld ;)
Bunny Love - This is Miss Larissa playing with her cousin's bunny rabbit. I'm allergic to most furry things...bunnies, kitties, horses etc so Larissa loves to visit her cousin's hobby farm and play with the animals. All was good until this cute bunny decided it wanted to leave the comfort of her lap and scratched her. The felt is Queen & Co (of course!)...it's a bit hard to work with but it's worth the effort. Those cute little beaded flowers came from the $store. They were supposed to clip unto shoes but my scrappy brain knew they'd work great on a layout. The pattern paper is KI Memories Bloom collection....love the bright pastels of this line :)

She said.... be happy
I just love this 'she said' stamp by Autumn Leaves {Jenni Bowlin design}. With Larissa being at that very cute gabby stage (age 3 1/2) it is getting a lot of use. This layout is inspired by something she says quite often...BE HAPPY. If someone is upset, grumpy, whatever, she will very seriously, and firmly, tell them "BE HAPPY" LOL Life is either black or white to a toddler.
I am totally digging these new shell buttons that I found...I think they will be working their way unto most scrapbook pages for a while. :D

She said....@ 2
She said... is it my birthday yet??? It's hard to be patient when you are turning 2! Larissa Hope '07
I had these sweet pics of my daughter last year..just waiting for her party to begin. I had fun making this funky layout....my sister says I can't do funky but I tried!!! LOL.
Check out the close up of these super cool buttons I found this weekend...made from shell...LOVE THESE!!!
Upsy Daisy DT call
*Scrapbook Trends - Stamping idea book*
A Canadian Company named Upsy Daisy (don't you just LOVE that name) is looking to add to their design team. I ordered 1 of each of their pattern papers from Paws on Scrapbooking and made the following layouts. I haven't decided which layouts I'm going to use for their call... I am hoping my fellow scrappers can help me decide on a few layouts and which altered project to submit to them. I had a lot of fun creating these goodies from the Vroom, Applesauce & Sweet Slumber lines. ( I wish I had been able to get some "TWEET" line paper but it was sold out!!)
This layout is called "Thankful for". I curled the corners of the pattern paper with the edge of a letter opener..it was the first time I tried this and I love how it turned out. I also curled the leaves. It's a really cool technique, especially on double sided pattern paper as you can see both sides of the paper. The leaves are stamped unto Upsy Daisy pattern paper (Applesauce) and the cut out. I used hot glue to adhere them to help add dimension.
Upsy Daisy Cards
Here are a few cards that I made with the left over scraps. The flower card is stamped and embossed on Sweet Slumber Pattern paper and then cut out and layered. I almost forgot about these cards.... then when I went to scan/photograph my Upsy Daisy stuff I was like 'hmmm.... I think I cards too.... I think??' I rooted around in my craft room and found these...yeah!
....more Upsy Daisy

....and some more Upsy Daisy goodness. The first layout was my very first attempt at a 6x12 layout...what fun!! It's called Little Peek and it's my daughter peeking out from behind at tree at my sister's house. The second layout, Happy & Carefree, has a picture of Larissa from a recent photoshoot at Province House in Charlotettown, PEI. The third layout, Sweet Boy is my nephew Keaton and Larissa's best friend :)
Basic Grey Goodness
I had some fun playing with the Offbeat collection on the weekend. When I asked Janique at Paws on Scrapbooking to order it, it was kind of a spur of the moment decision and when I received it I was like 'ugh, what was I thinking' LOL...but now that I played with it I think I like it again somewhat or at least I like how the layouts turned out :)
Along the bottom of 'Autumn Glory' I cut a strip of stiffened felt (can be found at Micheals) and stitched it. Then I added seed beads on a wire for more texture with a little Prima lace underneath.
The sunflowers on Picture Perfect are stamped (PSX stamp) unto Basic Grey Offbeat pattern paper, embossed, and then cut out with clear micro beads in the centre. You can also spot these layouts in Basic Grey's online gallery.
