As many of you know, Prince Edward Island is sadly lacking in scrapbooking stores. I have to rely on the online community to fufil my scrappy needs. So, here is my new favourite place to hang out...my LSS (local scrapbook store) even though it is in a whole other province!! Let's Capture Our Memories .... brand new forum, gallery, store etc. Talk about lots of gabby girls, scrap activities and tons of fun!! Let's Capture Our Memories (LCOM) is a based out of New Brunswick and recently opened after Paws on Scrapbooking closed it's doors. They have a brand new kit club. I made these layouts with their July kit - designed by moi ;) If you like the glitter I used, you can buy it here. It's Doodlebug chunky glitter.... I am in love with it!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. I have been very busy lately and haven't been very good at updating my blog. Larissa & I are leaving today to go camping with our family in Nova Scotia for 10 days!! I'll update when I get back :)

Creative Kit - My Creative Scrapbook
Here is the July Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I LOVE this kit...filled with October Afternoon papers, Jenni Bowlin die cut, lots of chipboard including these wonderful cherries, Prima flowers, felt trim.... lots of wonderful goodies! Here are the projects that I completed with it.
Time for some cherry tea: This is Larissa having a cherry tea party with her little friend 'horsey'. LOL. This is one of her favourite pastimes.
It's a good life: This is an old photo of DH with Larissa and her cousin while flying kites in Spring '07.
The Orchard: I have a lot of apply orchard layouts from the Fall 2008...probably because I took close to 1000 pictures while we were there!
I looped a piece of ribbon behind the apple die cut to look like a stem :)
And here is my second ever sketch! I made this for the Summer Sketch Challenge at My Creative Scrapbook. I would love for you come play along and post the layout that you make with this sketch! You can use the Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook or things from your own stash..either way is fine!
Here is the layout that I made to go along with the sketch - Carry Me
If you like these blinged out cherries, check out my tutorial on how to create them.

Album Kit - My Creative Scrapbook
Here is a shot of July Album Kit which features My Minds Eye Pretty Please papers. This kit was so much fun to work with! To see what the other design team members at MCS created just click here. These kits sell out insanely fast so if you want to get in on the action you need to sign up!
Sweet Cupcakes: To get the little letters "sweet" and "candy" I used the circle My Minds Eye sticker letters. I just cut the letters out of the circle and drew on them with my black Zig photo pen. This is Larissa decorating some cupcakes at a birthday party with a little help from her Aunt Bethy.
Popsicles: This is Larissa and her cousin enjoying a Spiderman and Dora popsicle. Their Aunt Bethy bought these for them thinking they would just love them...she was right! The character popsicles were scary looking and tasted nasty (according to us adults) but the kids loved them anyways.
I used the Cricut (Doodlecharms) to cut out the popsicle :)
Larissa's Flower Garden: This is Larissa helping me plant the flower garden at our back door step... well, she was more than helping..she would not let me do anything. She insisted on doing all the work herself. She is quite the little gardener.
I added a little (ok - a lot!) of Stickles to the Prima flowers.
These little tiny white rosettes came in this kit so I used them as the center of my flowers.
I made this card with some of my left overs from this kit. I gave it to my sister, Sarah, for her graduation last week :)

July Main Kit - My Creative Scrapbook!
It's the 5th of the month so that means reveal day at My Creative Scrapbook!!! This months main kit features My Little Bicycle's Traveler line. It was a wonderful kit to work with..blues and greens. This kit is already sold out so if you want to join in the fun in months to come you'll have to get on board and sign up!
So I was working away with the kit and looked down at the sheet of paper I was cutting and noticed the wording MacDonald Bridge. It caught my eye because of the MacDonald bridge in Halifax and sure enough the whole pattern of this particular paper is old printed tickets for the MacDonald Bridge in Halifax, Nova Scotia! I thought that was really cool since it's not far from where I live and somewhere I've often driven.
Click here to check out what the MCS Design Team created with this kit!
Little Dancer: I cut the transparency in this kit into a Jenni Bowlin shape and doodled around the edges to get this effect. This is little Larissa out dancing on our doorstep...a common occurrence around these parts.
Rear View: This was my rear view for a drive to Ontario (over 17 hours each way if anyone is counting). Larissa watched Finding Nemo the whole way there and back (and that is about 24 times if anyone is counting). My sister Sarah was there on the way home and the two of them dozed and listened to an MP3 player and of course, watch Nemo.
The Thickers included in this package are 'naked' so you can colour them anyway you want to. I coloured my with a blue marker and then used Ranger Glossy Accents on the top to give them a shiny gloss.
Road Trip: And this is my Little Larissa last year working on her bicycling skills. The die cut paper for this was in the shape of a road sign. I cut the top off and tucked behind the main portion of the die cut.
And this I miss you card will shortly be on it's way to Texas for one of my favourite blog readers. Watch your mailbox Mrs. F ;)
